The Concepts

IN EDU21'S CURRICULUM

Holistic development is not a linear process, it is simultaneous and integrated. We view children as unique individuals with their own ideas, thoughts and needs and we therefore prioritize children’s wellbeing, both physical and emotional and teach them how to take care of themselves and others and develop their social-emotional abilities so that they learn the real life skills.

The early years of a child’s development are critical, and the learning environments they experience can set them up for success throughout the rest of their life. With the engaging approach that Edu21 takes to STEAM learning, children have the opportunity to learn through meaningful, exciting activities. They start to build their confidence and skills to become future change-makers who can use different fields of sciences and imagination to solve complex problems. Edu21 uses STEAM education through Play-Based Learning, Hands on learning and Thematic Projects.

Play-based learning approach is a natural way to learn and explore and it is very important for their development. It is an active learning approach in which children use their brains in lots of ways. At Edu21, our curriculum and teachers know how to foster play and how to teach real concepts through play-based activities. We also encourage free play without adult involvement, we see it as an opportunity for children to collaborate with each other, explore their surroundings, practice, problem solving and enhance creativity.

At Edu21, Introducing sustainability to the student is the key area of learning. We believe that all aspects of education should involve practices that are lasting and caring for the community. We engage our students in different ideas and inspiration and they learn through practical examples. Students learn to act in a manner that exhibits awareness of how all things are connected and make well-considered choices for the greater good of all. Sustainability encompasses many areas of life, from social practices like incorporating the local culture and teaching children compassion to ecological considerations, like developing children’s relationship with nature and their willingness to actively care for the environment.

Children learn through guided exploration and this is achieved by completing projects. “project-Based Learning” & “inquiry based Learning” are part of our educational approach and it involves collaborative efforts between children and teachers. Teacher engage students in a challenging questions to get the solutions of their challenging questions by providing them different learning resources and exploring project themes, asking questions and exploring new subjects together with their teachers.

Lifelong Learning begins in the early years, at Edu21 we teach children how to apply their current knowledge in new context through playful methods, movement, exploration, daily routines and self-expression, So that they become confident learners capable of adapting to and transforming any setting.
