Dear Parents and Guardians,
Following the recent release of the annual assessment date sheet, I have received many queries regarding how to best prepare your children at home. While I deeply appreciate your dedication to your child’s academic journey, I want to take a moment to share the Edu21 Philosophy regarding assessments.
Our Approach: Preparation Stays at School
At Edu21, we believe that the school day provides ample time for rigorous learning and revision. Our primary goal is to ensure that students are fully prepared for their assessments within school hours.
We want to protect our students from the “academic burnout” that often comes with excessive after-school tutoring or late-night study sessions. To ensure a stress-free environment, we are implementing the following:
- In-Class Revision: Our teachers have dedicated the upcoming weeks to structured revision, mock-drills, and clearing concepts in the classroom.
- Targeted Support: We are identifying specific areas where students need help and address them during school time.
- Skill-Based Readiness: We focus on understanding and application rather than rote memorization.
How You Can Help at Home
The best way you can support your child during this period is not by adding extra study hours, but by ensuring they are emotionally and physically ready to learn. We kindly ask that you:
- Reduce the Pressure: Reassure your child that assessments are simply a way to measure what they have learned, not a cause for fear.
- Prioritize Rest: Ensure they get a full 8–10 hours of sleep so their brains are sharp for the school day.
- Maintain Routine: Keep a calm evening atmosphere with healthy meals and light recreation.
Our Promise to You: Please do not take on the stress of “teaching” the curriculum at home. Trust our educators to guide your children through the preparation process. Let us handle the hard work so that home remains a place of relaxation and family time.
We are confident that with this balanced approach, our students will perform to the best of their abilities without the burden of extra stress.
Thank you for your continued trust in Edu21. Warm regards,
